Subject: Two Practices, Team Picture Schedule, Parade and More

Dear Team:

The practice on Sunday went extremely well. I was very favorably impressed with the quality of the play despite the long winter layoff!

The Division Commissioner's office has sent me an email assigning us two practice fields / times before the season starts next week. We now have our next practice scheduled on Friday, April 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at Friendship Field. There will be another practice on Sunday, April 13 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Friendship Field. I have not yet been provided with the season schedule, but will pass it along as soon as I receive it.

We also have the team photo scheduled for this weekend. Our team photograph will be taken at the New Ingalls Field next to the Middle School at 2:30 p.m. We will gather at Camera #4. Please have your player fully dressed and at the site no later than 2:15 p.m. (I will distribute photo order forms at practice on Friday.) In the event of rain on Saturday, the team photograph will be taken in the PROSPECT HILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GYM at 2:30 p.m.at Camera #1.

The Little League Parade will be held this Saturday, April 12. Players should gather in front of the Pelham Art Center beginning at 8:30 a.m. The Parade traditionally is held rain or shine. (Current weather reports indicate the possibility of rain Saturday morning.)

I now have pants, socks and caps for the team although at first blush the pants -- which come in only two sizes: medium and extra large -- look awfully big. I do not yet have the jerseys although I understand that some of them have arrived. I will follow up today and, hopefully, can hand out everything at practice on Friday.

I have ordered "Captain" armbands and will randomly select two players each game to serve as co-captains to lead pre-game warm-ups and to go over the ground rules with the umpire before each game. Each will be able to wear a Captain armband to be returned after the game for use by the next set of co-captains.

I will be updating the roster later today and will re-distribute it.
