Subject: Important Message: Parade and Tonight's Practice

Dear Team:

I still need to hear from one player regarding the Sunday scrimmage at Friendship Field from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please let me know as soon as possible.

We have practice scheduled this evening and, among other things, the parade scheduled tomorrow. Weather may be a factor for both.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The League has issued a communication stating that it is possible that the parade will not be held due to rain. Additionally, weather reports for this evening's practice are conflicting. Some indicate thunderstorms throughout the afternoon with steady rain by 7 p.m. Others indicate only thunderstorms beginning by 8 p.m.

With respect to both tonight's practice and tomorrow morning's parade, please remember that there are FOUR PRINCIPAL WAYS TO DETERMINE IF EVENTS ARE CANCELED. You should be prepared to check frequently late today and early tomorrow to determine if tonight's practice and tomorrow's parade will take place. Here they are:

1. Watch closely for email from me.
2. Check the team's Web site at http://PelhamTwins.blogspot.com
3. Call the Little League Hotline / Answering Machine at 914-738-7555
4. Check the Pelham Little League Web site at http://www.pelhamlittleleague.org

In addition, to check whether fields are closed due to weather conditions, you may also do two additional things:

5. Call the Pelham Recreation Commission Hotline / Answering Machine at 914-738-6644
6. Go to the field - if there is a red flag on the field, the field is closed.

Team pictures will be taken tomorrow rain or shine. In the event of rain they will be at Prospect Hill School gymnasium. Ours is at 2:30.

I will distribute uniforms at practice tonight. If practice is rained out, I will deliver uniforms to mailboxes and porches tonight, so check before going to bed.
