Subject: Twins' First Game Monday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m.

Dear Team:

I desperately need to hear from the last two players regarding whether they can make a scrimmage game on Sunday from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m. at Friendship Field.

Good news: late last night the League issued an email providing us with the schedule for the first week of the season. The full schedule should be available shortly.

The team's first game will be Monday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Friendship Field against the Cubs. All players should be at the field absolutely no later than 6:15 p.m.

I will be developing the game lineup on Sunday. Since we have so few players, I urge all to make every effort to attend but -- more importantly -- to let me know as soon as possible whether your player will or will not attend. We must have eight players to start the game.

I picked up uniform jerseys last night. I will distribute them at practice Friday evening or, in the event of rain, will let you know about alternative arrangements. For those who cannot make practice on Friday, let me know if you haven't already and I will leave a bag with your player's uniform labeled with your player's name on the side porch at the top of our driveway at 20 Beech Tree Lane beginning this evening at about 7:00 p.m. for you to pick up at your convenience tonight or tomorrow.

Caution: The league provided us with only two sizes of pants -- medium and extra large. The pants are large and I already have had to use my awful sewing skills to take up a pair for Brett.

As always, this message will be posted to the Team Web site at http://PelhamTwins.blogspot.com

Best regards,

Blake
